Dear Sigve,
One of the biggest (and most dangerous) myths is that women don’t need to worry about their cardiovascular health—we still think of it as a men’s health concern. And unfortunately, when doctors do pay attention to cardiovascular health in their female patients, they often approach it in the same way they would with a man.
We can do much better than that when it comes to your health. Statistically speaking, when you’re nearing or in menopause and estrogen declines, your need to pay attention to your cardiovascular health is the same (or greater!) than a man’s. And Dr. Lark firmly believes women need to focus on healthy circulation and blood pressure to support a healthy cardiovascular system.
The exciting news is that there are specific, scientifically studied nutrients that do an excellent job of supporting healthy circulation, normal blood pressure, and overall cardiovascular health. And after months of intense research, Dr. Lark combined them into a formula called Daily Balance Natto BP.
It all begins with one of the most exciting discoveries for supporting healthy circulation and healthy blood pressure—nattokinase.
The secret’s getting out about the “wonder”
enzyme for healthy circulation

A Breakthrough Formula for Your Circulation
Just two capsules a day of Natto BP help:
• Maintain normal blood pressure levels
• Support optimal circulation, blood flow and blood viscosity
• Support normal blood clotting
• Support healthy blood vessels
• Reduce LDL oxidation
• Provide antioxidant protection against free radicals• Reduce oxidative stress in the cardiovascular system
• Promote normal homocysteine levels

Back in 1980, a researcher at the University of Chicago named Dr. Hiroyuki Sumi completed his chemistry degree by testing 150 foods for their ability to promote healthy circulation. He was amazed at the results he got with a Japanese “cheese-like” food called natto, which contains a powerful enzyme called nattokinase.
Since Dr. Sumi’s early findings, this enzyme has been widely studied—there are 17 published studies in the U.S. and Japan alone. The research results are consistent. Time after time, nattokinase does an excellent job of promoting healthy circulation. In addition, nattokinase helps maintain normal blood pressure.
Keeps your blood flowing normally
To help you understand how nattokinase works, we need to explain your circulation. Simply put, when your circulation is healthy, blood flows normally throughout your blood vessels, delivering nutrients and oxygen to all your cells. In order for your blood to flow normally, it needs to have the proper thickness (or viscosity)—and that’s dependent on normal blood clotting.
Normal blood clotting is a necessary process. It’s what stops the bleeding if you cut your finger, or suffer from any type of injury.
Here’s the dilemma, and how nattokinase helps
Your body produces several compounds to support healthy blood clotting, and one of the most important is fibrin. Let’s use a small cut on your finger as an example—as soon as your finger is cut, it forms a web-like structure that stops the bleeding. Fibrin is also what determines the thickness of your blood. In a nutshell, normal fibrin levels give you normal blood flow.

The way your body dissolves and breaks down fibrin is with plasmin. Your body produces plasmin throughout your circulatory system—in the endothelial cells that line the interior walls of arteries, veins and lymph vessels. But plasmin production may decline with age.
That’s where nattokinase comes in. First off, nattokinase resembles plasmin, and like plasmin it helps break down fibrin directly. Second, nattokinase actually enhances your body’s production of plasmin.
The dosage requirement for nattokinase is 2,000 FU (fibrin units) a day—which is the exact dose I put in Natto BP. This will help not only with blood flow, but will also help promote normal blood pressure levels. And for those of you who may need extra blood pressure support, you can double that dose, taking four capsules of Natto BP a day.
In addition to Nattokinase, I included in Natto BP:
• Pomegranate for its beneficial effect on systolic blood pressure and its ability to address LDL oxidation,
• Green tea for its ability to help raise antioxidant status, reduce plasma free radicals and promote normal LDL cholesterol levels, and
• B vitamins for their abilty to help reduce homocysteine and promote vascular health.
Maintaining healthy circulation, blood pressure and
vascular health is something we shouldn’t take lightly
Supporting cardiovascular health is very important, especially if you’re anywhere near menopause. And, I believe that far too many doctors aren’t focusing enough on your circulatory health or blood pressure.
In many ways, I believe Natto BP is one of the most important formulas I’ve ever created. I included what I consider to be the best, most well-researched nutrients. And I didn’t cut any corners, giving you what I’ve found to be the best forms of each nutrient, and in the ideal dosages to give you the best results.

Please don’t wait to pay attention to your cardiovascular health, and especially your circulation and blood pressure. This is such a critical issue for women, and one that’s too often ignored. The nutrients in Natto BP are the ones I take myself, and I truly believes every woman over 40 should be taking them as well.
To your health,

Susan M. Lark, M.D.
P.S. Natto BP is one of the hardest-hitting, most powerful—and in some ways, most important—formulas I have ever developed. It addresses what I believe are the two most critical heart health issues for women, circulation and blood pressure.
